Becoming a Member

IARPT has two categories of membership: (1) member and (2) associate member. Members have full voting rights with all the privileges of participation and pay the regular dues and fees as levied by the Board of Directors. Associate members have no voting rights, but do have all the privileges of participation and pay reduced dues and fees as levied by the Board of Directors. The category of associate membership is for persons still completing their education or just beginning their career without regular employment. Associate members may apply for full membership at any time through the procedure indicated for the election of members.

Any person interested in becoming a member or an associate member should make that interest known to a current member who will then electronically forward the candidate’s vita to the Secretary along with a recommendation for membership. The Secretary will, in turn, circulate the vita and recommendation to the members of the Board of Directors who may vote electronically or in a meeting of the Board to accept or reject the applicant for membership. The Secretary will inform the applicant of the vote of the Board of Directors with all appropriate information. Applicants whose applications are approved will become members or associate members of IARPT on payment of the required initiation fees and dues.

Inquiries about applying for membership or associate membership should be directed to the Secretary of IARPT, Demian Wheeler.
